So it’s been a very long time since we last met. Real life has been super-busy. In addition, I was having huge game crash issues which were resolved by making my computer use the crappy onboard graphics card rather than the swishy NVidia one. Logical. Then I had difficulty with saves not appearing in my menu, but I started a new saves folder and just put the most recent ones in and that seemed to sort it.
Anyway, no doubt you need a reminder of where the family are at… This is Twitter Daye. He’s one of SEVEN kids of 24HourSpar and her husband Cid (one set of quads and one set of triplets). They live with Ice Pop in Isla Paradiso. Quorn lives in the hood too but is retired and moved out after maxing out his lifeguard career and LTW.
We got a private island and the teens have been camping out on it, but despite us owning it, they still broke curfew.
Beyond it being a lifetime wish to own islands, I’m not sure what islands are for, but I guess we’re here to find out…
The family have also been having some downtime at the festival. Sadly the love meter thinks Cid and 24HourSpar are incompatible, which is weird seeing as they’re always spontaneously being romantic and rolling up wants to kiss and woohoo each other (and have more babies, which: NO).
I know this is hard to read but it’s a negative frozen loins moodlet after that machine.
Tinder, another of the quads, had a good go at the hot coals thing on the hottest setting. She burned her little tootsies.
We got a lemonade stand but the kids’ drinks don’t seem super popular.
…raging at Generations post.
Boolprop’s learning more fairy magic. He casts spells on his family…
…and attempts fairy repairs.
He cast inner beauty on the fourth quad, SnapChat.
She wasn’t into her reflection…
…but I don’t think she’s that hideous.
The effect is only a moodlet anyway.
The triplets became teens. This is Pinterest…
Pinterest gets her Katniss on. If Katniss used invisible arrows.
The boys get to have fun as well.
And we have another new gnome, Cheggers.
Ice Pop is taking spot the ghost to a new level.
She is level 9 at her skill and level 6 at her career. She’d do better if they didn’t keep assigning her to missions where she can find everything but that she’s been asked to find.
She got us yet another new gnome though, Nadia Sawalha.
Still, the underwaters are pretty.
We have seen the odd shark, but none that’s tried to attack her
And, as yet, no Krakens or mermaids or anything. Island life is surprisingly mundane.
The quads aged up and Tinder got given the LTW of resort mogul – given Dayes Days, our resort, is already five star, shouldn’t be too hard – she has to also collect 40K in profits.
Twitter rolled up adopt 6 strays ages ago but we can’t yet adopt because the house is too full.
SnapChat wants to be a grand explorer – to own all the hidden islands.
Whilst Boolprop’s LTW is magic makeover – he has to give inner beauty to several sims (easy) and max out charisma, which we all know is my least favourite skill, so we’re getting him guitaring to make friends.
SnapChat is roaming the seas all the time.
She’s only happened on one other island so far, Beryl Shoals.
She’s my favourite mix of the two parents though.
Twitter looks a lot like Cid.
Tinder, meanwhile, is a lot like 24HourSpar.
To speed up the profit gathering, we bought one of the existing resorts to transform it.
Tinder worked really hard to make it lovely.
This generation are so spoilt.
Soon enough, she got her LTW and was shipped out…
…after doing some painting and spending her LTH points on a map of the islands and some mermadic kelp, which SnapChat nommed.
ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?
The map doesn’t exactly show locations…
It seems to kind of hint at them with smoke over them.
However, we don’t seem to be able to get to them in order to discover them.
It’s enough to drive anyone to drink.
Tumblr had a task at the science lab but every time I clicked on him to go there it would cancel the action. We eventually got him there by clicking on him to go to the building next door and then get him to walk from that building. It was a massive palaver though – I suspect part of the problem of island life.
Cid, meanwhile, has finally maxed out his LTW.
Along with Tinder and 24HourSpar…
…he got to work on portraits before shipping out.
Meanwhile, Boolprop was playing in the park when the camera zoomed to him.
Despite the rain, he’d caught fire from the sun.
Sadly, whilst it was a unique death, it wasn’t a unique ghost, so I didn’t save.
And with Cid and Tinder off, we brought in the newest member of the family, a little girl pooch called Marina – I’m using Twitter’s sailor trait as the naming trait.
Meanwhile, in the future, the other half of the family are still adventuring before they go back to the actual heir of this gen, PgsFromCeefax, who hasn’t been seen for months. Puddle’s been investigating crashed ships but found nothing that exciting yet.
JD’s Nitescene and Linda McCartney are flirting despite being… whatever relation they are to each other.
Linda’s enjoying the interesting future food (sphere of destiny, gave her a nice future food moodlet)…
…and now she’s at L4 in the astronomy career, she can use her phone as some sort of telescope. Her blog is still failing to be five-star and make enough money for her LTW though, and the blog LTW is annoying because you can’t leave the sim to get on with it. it’s all down to you.
JD (seen here with some descendants) has made lots of friends in order to collect sprite forms for his skill challenge.
It’s really hard work.
So far he has 8/10.
He’s also had 15/50 unique dream outcomes. They almost always give a moodlet and several of them have changed his traits.
We’ve been exploring Oasis Landing a little, too. Cute how the waiter-bots wear bow-ties.
Tofu has made about 120/200 nanites for his skill challenge and is still not making a lot of money from tune-ups. He’s also now in the bot arena career, and on free will he created another plumbot – this one is called Cornetto. I decided to keep her.
However, I don’t want three bots in the family, so I swapped out Fab’s sentient chip to Cornetto and equipped Cornetto with a capacity to love chip – our male bot, Calippo also has one – and then I sold Fab.
I will leave you with this pic of JD stuck in what seems to be a weird prison… that’s what three weeks in Oasis Landing feels like, and we’ve not got to the utopia or dystopia yet! Still, we’ll be coming home soon – I can’t remember how long their trip was but all I really want to do here is max out JD and Tofu’s skill challenges. I don’t need to do that much more in the future as I am anxious to get back and have the next generation sired – and I’ve realised I only have a handful of LTWs left to assign, so we don’t need these guys to achieve everything by any means. Still, join us next time to see if we can get back to the real time line and to see how our island dwellers get on with raising a pet!
