So, we’re back… and how. You might want to make a cup of tea before settling down – this is going to be a long one.
Quorn’s lifeguard career, after a promising upturn when we moved to Isla Paradiso, has kind of stalled. I may have to resort to cheating.
Meanwhile, Ice Pop is still exploring the depths.
I like the secret passages and stuff – we’ve still not discovered many new sites but I am hoping when her skill improves, we will.
We will now delay the kiddie picspam for undersea picspam…
However, pretty as the underwater is, we didn’t seem to be able to catch many fish or find much treasure…
It was only later that we discovered it’s actually easier to catch fish, shells and stuff if you just dive into a regular patch of water rather than a dive site. This game…
Last time you may recall I wasn’t 100% sure if I’d got the names of the quads right. Turned out I had, so go me! Anyway, they all have birthday times coming right up…
Here’s our Twitter…
For some reason the only photos I have of his face are side-on.
…mainly because I prefer it when he can do this.
These two spend their time playing fairy tricks on each other.
I am loving having fairies in the house. Notsomuch because of their wings or abilities (although I like those so far too)…
…but because when you’re living on a tiny houseboat and they can shrink to fit into these little castles, it’s a godsend.
What isn’t so easy on a houseboat is gardening, poor Cid, although the kids are fishing to help him out with fertilizer.
Meanwhile, in the simultaneous game with the other Dayes…
Emit Whatsisface wasn’t having any of JD’s sprite talk.
…and the portal wasn’t having any of us future travelling.
We deleted it and got it to re-enter our lot. No dice.
‘All I want is to go to the future and finish my skill challenges.’
Maybe moving to a fresh save would fix it?
Nope, so we went back to the old one. BTW Frank Spencer is now a child (and likely to be fairly neglected). Jafar has just aged up too but I haven’t had time to do his hair or clothing yet so you’ll see that next chapter.
We decided instead to try travelling to the future thanks to the traveller mod.
Success! I wanted to bring Manisha and PgsFromCeefax to try for babies in the future but it was a full moon and she couldn’t travel in her werewolf state, nor could she get out of that state.
Instead, our intrepid travellers are JD’s Nitescene, Tofu, Linda McCartney and Puddle.
Aww, pretty. Puddle is working at the bot arena. Linda also has a job in the astronomy career. Interesting to see how these careers might work when we go home. It’s a different kind of mechanic having location-based career tracks, I’ll give the game that.
JD meanwhile has maxed out his LTW so is really trying to just complete those skill challenges. Or die from jetpack death, that’d be fine too.
Tofu, meanwhile is building MORE BOTS. He has also completed his LTW now and is just going for career topping and skill challenges.
JD is trying to schmooze the residents in the hope people will share sprites with him, but no joy yet.
Linda is just trying hard to get the blog donations and fulfil that part of both her LTW and her skill challenges.
We have decided to keep a couple of plumbots handy to experience all of the trait chips. This is Calippo, demonstrating the fear of humans chip. It’s as annoying as when people responded to supernatural sims before I modded that annoyance right away. Unsurprisingly, the trait chip was soon removed.
This is Fab putting her limitless learning to use.
She also has sentience and can roll up LTWs although she’s yet to roll up one we haven’t done.
She can also ponder the meaning of life.
Tofu, meanwhile, has come second in a bot-building competition. He could only take part in his bot form.
Puddle’s maxing out his laser rhythm-o-con skill and I want him to get the legacy statue relating to it.
JD is having fun running around town completing the opportunities that arise in the future. So far, we’re enjoying our trip.
Even more so now that we’ve discovered there are dig sites a bit like World Adventures…
…and some really cool scenery. And this is just in the normal future, we’ve yet to explore utopian or dystopian futures.
By the way, here are some Daye descendants…
….looks like Pepperoni’s colouring is still going strong all those generations later.
On the subject of Daye descendants, let’s see how the others are getting on, shall we? They have a plethora of new playthings, because they now own a resort.
It’s a step up from Pontin’s, but it isn’t quite Butlin’s standard.
The houseboat is doing my head in a bit so I sent the kids off exploring the town.
There is nothing new under the sun…
…but that doesn’t mean…
…we can’t enjoy some favourite past-times.
And I also let Quorn have some fun.
Hey, SnapChat, what’s up?
She’s read my mind. You see, sometimes things happen quite innocently. Your sim finds the trash compactor broken.
So they get electrocuted fixing it.
And then you remember that, whilst you eventually got a death by electrocution years ago, you never got any yellow ghost babies out of it.
So it’s for the greater good that 24HourSpar makes this sacrifice.
And a fire handily broke out too, although it burned itself out.
Cid used some fairy magic on her.
Also obligatory 🙂
I do like the prettiness of this town.
Cid teaching the kids some fairy tricks.
Stop. Baby time.
Yup, with two babies and a growing need for gardening, we decided to buy a house. We still own the houseboat, but that seems a bit pointless as we can’t live in both at once.
Cid’s going some with his LTW – using bloom is super-easy so I am hoping it won’t take us too long.
Anyone for a quick round of spot the ghost? The fairy dust kind of gives it away though.
Birthday times! All six kids are fairies and none of them are imaginary friends. Shame.
It’s a nice coincidence that Pinterest likes red. I can’t remember Tumblr’s favourite colour.
Not sure if Tumblr is their favourite or just mine.
Handily, with some toddlers to train, the quads are now teens.
Boolprop genuinely aged up into this T-shirt. ❤ ❤
I hope Twitter won’t always look this glum.
He does have a nice enough smile when he employs it.
So far, SnapChat’s the most hipster of the bunch.
She’s also the one I’m sending out in the family’s new toy.
Some covert spying right there, kiddo.
Merry Christmas everyone! Join us next time for more of the future and probably more of island life too!
