Alrighty then! Heir poll is done and dusted, time for uni.
‘Erm. Isn’t there the small matter of announcing the heir? Or, y’know, building us a house?’
In a supreme act of manipulating you all, I got my wish and PgsFromCeefax is the heir, which means I don’t have to suffer through another purple house. Thank you all!
With that sorted, I packed six of the kids off to uni. I know it annoyed me last time I sent so many, but it’ll be right, won’t it? Won’t it?
This is how they stack up on their way to uni. SuperCasino is the only swot.
SuperCasino is doing 12 credits, as is Raggedy Man. They’re the two I actually care about – he’s doing the three degrees LTW (that should so be my simself’s LTW really – the real me is on degree #4…) and she’s after a perfect score.
PgsFromCeefax is doing science and medicine. His LTW is to top one of those careers as well as maxing out his science skill. Just as well he’s the heir as that seems quite a difficult LTW when topping either career would be an LTW on its own. He and the others are just doing 6 credits.
JD’s Nitescene is doing a Technology degree. I doubt it’ll help is future tech skill as uni predates ITF but you never know.
The two girls are studying Communications although 24HourSpar wants to max out her social group influence so I’m not that bothered about her education.
The aim is to make Raggedy Man and SuperCasino work hard, 24HourSpar barely work and the other three to do a moderate amount of work.
Linda McCartney is not above committing random acts of violence against the vending machines.
She also managed to make money from radio ads on her very first day. Alan Sugar would be proud.
Look at the wee capitalist.
Although Raggedy Man and SuperCasino have sketch books as their art objects, allegedly music can also help.
JD brought his Tamagotchi thing with him to keep him company. It is a bit limited as a fun plaything.
We also have him jetpacking at every available opportunity so that he can hopefully die… I mean increase his skill.
Yeah, yeah, fall over. Why doesn’t it kill you?
24HourSpar, meanwhile, racks up social group challenges and tries to do things for all the groups, like aying computer games…
…engaging in the kind of falls her mother would be proud of…
… and dressing as a serial killer for a random party. Brrrr.
She does the radio thing too, but is somewhat blase about it.
Screw you, Seasons.
Oooh, a fairy! Try it on with him, one of you!
I quite like this sim’s appearance but she’s not supernatural and a bit dippy for us… she’d probably be easy to kill though.
The girls randomly turned themselves into IFs without my even doing anything. This is not a complaint.
New snowman type for us!
The uni hood is full of old people. Guess mature students must have got a discount on their fees or something. Or maybe it’s just so hard to graduate at this place it takes them that long (and no wonder, if they sleep in class).
I think JD might be falling a wee bit in love with his tamagotchi.
I’m just in love with the pretty.
Fortunately Linda’s appearance isn’t putting people off being interviewed.
Someone MEANS BUSINESS.
She’s a regular little Che Guevara.
Her protest lasted ages and went well. And then we met another fairy!
24HourSpar managed to get some fairy dust from her and twinkled the night away.
I sent Raggedy Man here.
We’ve been trying to figure out how blogging works.
Some posts are bad, some are ok, some are amazing.
But it doesn’t seem to matter what the post says, how long it is, how many words it has, or whether or not we edit the suggested post. It seems entirely random what people will and won’t like (so far anyway).
Too much social networking is bad for you.
But a bit of what you fancy does you good.
Raggedy Man got a job, marking assessments on a course he hasn’t even got any skill in. Rest assured, readers, I don’t get first year undergrads from other courses to mark my students’ work, but I guess simuni is “special”.
I do love the comic book building, though. The previous set of Dayes never made it this far.
What is this? Is it meant to be the uni sign?
It’s hard to keep up with the social groups, influence seems to drop super-fast. 24HourSpar has been to her classes, but other than that is having difficulty with all the social demands, never mind attempting studying.
For those of you wondering why Stacey hasn’t been in EastEnders lately…
Ha! I like the social butterfly trait. Not sure I’ve had a sim with it before.
When your sims are only in uni for a week, it’s no time at all until final exams.
Someone made a cheat sheet.
Imagine a module that just asked you to write abstracts.
What even is this, he actually went to everything and did some homework. Uni is hard, you guise.
The scores on the doors (Miss Ford)
I got them to re-enrol whilst at uni as I was having fun and decided I wanted a second week.
And more chance to enjoy the scenery.
But no, they came home again.
And then they couldn’t go back. Yeah, it makes me mad too, girl.
So I finally caved and built a new house. With its own rec room…
…a pool for the first time in ages…
A sort-of-gothic-a-bit living room…
…and the return of an upstairs.
Spooky Moonlit Falls
Falafel isn’t having much luck with his prey…
… I get the impression turning the town will be harder than I thought.
I am not sure what I will do with Ice Pop yet. There are a couple of career LTWs we haven’t topped out yet. Plus loads of Pets, ITF and Island Paradise stuff to try. It’ll be something short, anyway.
I sent Raggedy Man and PgsFromCeefax on two separate fairy hunts in the garden area, but they found nothing so far.
Fortunately, we figured out that if all the students quit their ‘jobs’ at uni, they could then re-enrol. So back they go, for one more week. This time Raggedy Man and SuperCasino are doing 18 credits to max out their degrees, the boys are doing 12 and the girls 6. Join us next time so see if any of them manage to graduate!
